Fort Tilden beach has bikes, topless hipsters, and decaying buildings/rape tunnels. Tough to reach by public transit, but a doable bike ride for those inclined. The surf is rough and current strong, so the dips in the water have to be quick. That’s ok, it helps you avoid sunburn!

Arrive in the afternoon and either park on the road outside the park and walk, or risk it and park in the lot requiring a special fishing permit. We arrived by 4pm on a Sunday in a Zipcar and didn’t get a ticket in the special lot. I drooled over the mountains of beautiful bikes stacked up everywhere, some more cleverly than others. Here’s a map.

In fact, my successful attempt at converting a home stereo system into an anal/urethral e-stim device was once met with strong disapproval and scoldings by several electrically-minded kinksters, worried about the dangers of an improperly constructed or operated DIY e-stim unit. All things considered, they’re probably right, and unless you have a degree in electrical engineering (or a friend who does to supervise you), I suggest holding off on the homemade TENS units. I don’t really have either, so I wizened up and bought some high-quality e-stim equipment: namely the ErosTek ET-232. Complete review after the jump.
